Even though raspberry ketone is in use from many years for multiple purposes, its benefits in weight loss is recently discovered fact. In 2012 Dr. Oz presented a new component which is really beneficial for weight loss and which is present mainly in raspberries, kiwis, cranberries and blackberries. It is believed that raspberry ketone can do miracles when it comes to weight loss.

The good aroma which the red raspberries carry is due to the presence of this chemical. This is being used in processed foods, ice creams, cosmetics and even in soft drinks. There are studies which have conducted focusing mainly on physiological effects of ketone.

This study has shown that raspberry ketone has the ability to prevent the rapid weight gain. They also reported that ketone is very effective in reducing the risk of fatty liver development. But there are no studies which have conducted on humans for the same reason. That is the reason before starting the supplement of raspberry ketone it is better to consult physician to know about its negative and positive effects. Side effects of using Raspberry Ketone:

Even though raspberry ketone supplements are made of natural ingredients from a fruit, it is better to consume them under physician’s supervision. Always follow the manufacturer guidelines and instructions available on the product. The studies available on this chemical are mainly conducted on mice. There are no studies which involved humans to study the raspberry ketone effects. This is the reason there is very less information about its side effects on humans.

Even though there is no known side effects about raspberry ketone one cannot declare that it is safe and with no side effects. In case sensitive individuals they may cause side effects. There is fact known about this chemical is it is similar to capsaicin and it also resembles synephrine which is a stimulant. So the side effects caused by these two chemicals in individuals who are sensitive to caffeine can also be caused by raspberry ketone supplements.

Some of the common side effects can be rapid heartbeat, feelings of jitteriness, and increased blood pressure. It is better to consult the doctor and get the clear ok from him before using this supplement by breastfeeding mothers and pregnant ladies.
